National Interview Day
Canadian Cardiology programs will continue to organize National Interview Day. This is a centralized process which allows program directors to interview applicants at a single site over a 2-day process in the fall. National Interview Day is coordinated through the office of Dr. A. Montgomery at McMaster University. It is independent of the application and match system which is now organized by CaRMS.
Applicants who wish to participate in Interview Day will need to complete the registration package which is available by clicking on the link below. The registration information must be returned directly to Cathy Neufeld, Program Administrator at the University of Calgary. It is not to be included in materials sent directly to CaRMS.
A list of applicants to be interviewed in Toronto will be submitted to Dr.Montgmery's office. Meeting times will coordinated and distributed to candidates directly by that office. Interviews are typically scheduled for 30 minutes. The first interview for the University of Calgary begins at 8:00am and the last at 17:00.

In accordance with the CaRMS process, interviews will be conducted between the opening of File Review and the deadline for submission of Rank Order lists. Every effort will be made to accommodate requests for interviews in Toronto. However, when the number of candidates exceeds the available interview spots in Toronto an on-site interview may be required. Candidates who interview in Toronto are also welcome to arrange an on-site tour of the facilities and meetings with current group of trainees. On-site meetings can be arranged by contacting Cathy Neufeld directly.
National Interview Day takes place at the Intercontinental Hotel (Front Street location) in Toronto. Registration packages must be completed and returned to Dr. Montgomery's office according to the deadlines specified on the CaRMS website.
