Dr. Sarah Weeks
Dr. Sarah Weeks was born in Edmonton, Alberta. She completed a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry at McGill University in Montreal. She subsequently attended medical school at the University of Calgary: obtaining her MD degree in 1999. She continued at the University of Calgary for Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship. In 2005, she moved to the University of California, San Francisco for a clinical/research fellowship in Echocardiography with time in cardiac MR. Her work there included the assessment of novel percutaneous valve devices.
Dr. Weeks returned to the Department of Cardiac Sciences at the University of Calgary to continue work in non-invasive cardiac imaging: cardiac MR and echocardiography. Her main academic interests are clinical research and teaching.
