David J. Patton
Dr. David Patton is a Pediatric Cardiologist and a member of the Stephenson Cardiovascular MR Centre working group at the Libin Cardiovascular Institute of Alberta.
A native Calgarian, he completed a B.Sc. in Biophysical Chemistry at the University of Calgary followed by medical training in Calgary in 1987 and a residency in General Pediatrics at Alberta Childrens Hospital. Dr. Patton has completed fellowships in Pediatric Cardiology at Izaak Walton Killam Childrens Hospital in Halifax and Childrens Hospital in Boston, and in Pediatric Critical Care at Childrens Hospital of Alabama in Birmingham.
Since 1995, Dr. Patton has worked as a pediatric intensivist and a pediatric cardiologist. At present, he continues his practice in Pediatric Cardiology at Alberta Childrens Hospital in Calgary, where he holds a joint appointment as Clinical Associate Professor in the Departments of Pediatrics and Cardiac Sciences. Dr. Pattons main clinical and research interests are in the area of non-invasive imaging of pediatric and adult congenital heart disease.
